I’ve kind of been keeping it a secret working out at the gym. I joined the Clayton Aquatics and Health Club 2-3 weeks ago. I signed up with Amy and my trainer Chris. Not exactly a personal trainer, but just to get me started. I believe I’ve almost reached my goals. Today I just ran 9.6 km/h for 12:37 minutes with a distance of 2 km. I’ll be really happy if I can run 2 km in under 10 minutes.
The reason for training is a requirement to join the Navy. I hope I can get in as a musician. If not then I’ll continue what I’m doing now. I’ll keep it updated on the recruiting process. Maybe then I can start smiling some more. They did say that getting into a Defence Job is a great achievement. Glad I’ve got some goals to look forward to.
Another note… I probably won’t be living in Clayton much longer. I’m in the process of moving house and the agent should be advertising tomorrow. Hopefully it’s not too soon. I’m waiting for something to arrive in the mail. I also found the CD for my VHS to DVD software. I could probably make it a business, but I’m not going to. It’s just converting analogue into digital.
I just signed a 3 month contract at a local fitness center. No strings attached since I already paid up front. After this period membership will automatically be terminated. There’s 2 requirements that I must attend with a trainer this week. This fitness and strength workout will get my confidence and happiness increased. There’s one catch that I’m willing to do this. I’m thinking of applying for the Australian Defence Force. Depending on how well my physical capabilities improve this will see the available options. They seem to go through a fair bit of processing. I’m already having second thoughts.
I’m hoping my medical history will not affect my application. I rarely see a doctor, but I did take my first CT scan today. Nothing serious. I’m also going to take another blood test. My head feels pretty heavy right now. Might faint again since I have to fast meaning no breakfast.
Playing games is probably not a secret anymore. Since high school I’ve been hooked into playing MMORPGs like Diablo and World of Warcraft. Both of which are from the same enterprise Blizzard Entertainment. I have played other not so well known titles also. The problem I have is that I find little time to do anything else. There is also little energy to do anything else. So the equation is time and energy equals wasted. I have no regrets though because it is a valuable learning experience in my life.
A very expensive learning curve. Luckily it hasn’t gone way overboard that I can still handle myself. My main concern is cleaning up my room and tidying things up. I’ll be practicing my clarinet again to continue my video series on YouTube. There are still 2 solo pieces left in a classical book I started earlier this year. I wish to complete it before the year ends. On a side note, my cousin’s grandmother at the age of 92 passed away and I will be attending her funeral.
The days are cold and it would be nice to feel warmer. A girlfriend would be nice, but I’m not ready to commit just yet.
It’s early in the morning and I’m just watching some videos I made a few months ago or perhaps years. I pretty much grew up with Disney movies so I don’t have any problems embracing them. My room is in a lot of mess at the moment so this clip is a little motivational to clean up. The clip is from Treasure Planet and the song title is I’m Still Here.
Before I type anything else there’s way too many post tags for this blog. Anyway, I’ve been a big fan of watching anime online for a while now. Started watching them on TV and thought I wanted to see more. I thought I’ve seen them all. Now I just watch the latest and current ones. I do have my favorites. If I really don’t have anything better to do I’ll watch them all. Streaming them takes a while sometimes to load so it gives me time to write about it.
Why is this in the health section? Anime gives me a break. Great entertainment. I think it’s a good experience.
Just a few days ago I was looking for a way to use up my mobile credits. I ended up using it on something pointless. I think there’s a few organizations that would be more than happy to talk to you. My mobile has been suspended because I rarely use it and just let it expire. I did see a TV advertisement for awareness on issues such as stress this month. It’s more of a help line I believe for life. Anyway, I’ll add the link to it here: http://www.stressdown.org.au
I’ve been reading a text book these past few months titled Understanding Nutrition. I actually read it a few years ago while I was studying Food Science & Technology at RMIT in the city. Reading wasn’t enough so I had to write about it also. So far I’ve completed 13 summaries. One for each chapter read. I’ve also been posting up YouTube clips of myself playing an improvisational clarinet piece to correspond with each page. You can also Blast My Music. I don’t intend to remember every single detail of what I learn. I’m just interested.
Title: Santa Hat Look
Footage: Photo Slide Show
Clarinet Music: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
This isn’t really the right season to be showing off a Christmas spirit. Doesn’t really matter to me anyway since I was thinking about it. Easter seems to be celebrated at this stage of the year. So this is the least I could do to show some kind of religion in my life. I also wanted to play some Christmas songs last year, but now it feels a little too late. I will post something related to this topic later about life. I remember taking these photos last year. My hair has grown and then cut short again. I may have to shave my beard also. Let’s just say I look different now compared to what the video shows. The Santa hat is probably buried somewhere in my messy room.
Title of Video: Foxy the Dog
Type of Pet: Dog
Name of Dog: Foxy
Breed of Dog: Pomeranian
Pet Owner: Baniqued Family
Video Editor: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
I don’t really spend too much time with the family pet. So this is the least I can do for him. His name is Foxy and a Pomeranian breed of dog. He’s been in care of the Baniqued family for a few years now. Foxy is also the third dog to come live in our home. The only other pets left in the house is some fish. We’ve also had some stray cats living with us, but they ran away. We used to have birds also that my sister owned. I think regardless of what type of pet you have they’ll eventually make some noise. Well, fish aren’t that noisy… Family Pet in Your Life
Title: Clarinet Goodbye To Richard Dellaposta
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
I recently made friends with a trumpet player on YouTube. I got a private message from ClueLou asking how I was and if I checked the channel of civicdude101 lately. I got a little suspicious and had a look through civicdude101′s page finding that a friend had left a note. He passed away two days ago which was 23rd of March, 2010 at 6:00am. It’s really difficult what to think even though I’ve known a few people who had already passed away. The conflicting part was that we were last talking about suicide prevention. Surely this had to have been a coincidence. I wasn’t the last he talked too though. I had a look at his twitter page to see what his last moments were online. His name was Richard Dellaposta.
