It’s early in the morning and I’m just watching some videos I made a few months ago or perhaps years. I pretty much grew up with Disney movies so I don’t have any problems embracing them. My room is in a lot of mess at the moment so this clip is a little motivational to clean up. The clip is from Treasure Planet and the song title is I’m Still Here.

Anime
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010
Before I type anything else there’s way too many post tags for this blog. Anyway, I’ve been a big fan of watching anime online for a while now. Started watching them on TV and thought I wanted to see more. I thought I’ve seen them all. Now I just watch the latest and current ones. I do have my favorites. If I really don’t have anything better to do I’ll watch them all. Streaming them takes a while sometimes to load so it gives me time to write about it.
Why is this in the health section? Anime gives me a break. Great entertainment. I think it’s a good experience.
Life Line
Wednesday, July 7th, 2010
Just a few days ago I was looking for a way to use up my mobile credits. I ended up using it on something pointless. I think there’s a few organizations that would be more than happy to talk to you. My mobile has been suspended because I rarely use it and just let it expire. I did see a TV advertisement for awareness on issues such as stress this month. It’s more of a help line I believe for life. Anyway, I’ll add the link to it here: http://www.stressdown.org.au
What is nutrition?
Wednesday, June 9th, 2010
I’ve been reading a text book these past few months titled Understanding Nutrition. I actually read it a few years ago while I was studying Food Science & Technology at RMIT in the city. Reading wasn’t enough so I had to write about it also. So far I’ve completed 13 summaries. One for each chapter read. I’ve also been posting up YouTube clips of myself playing an improvisational clarinet piece to correspond with each page. You can also Blast My Music. I don’t intend to remember every single detail of what I learn. I’m just interested.
Clarinet Goodbye To Richard Dellaposta

Title: Clarinet Goodbye To Richard Dellaposta
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
I recently made friends with a trumpet player on YouTube. I got a private message from ClueLou asking how I was and if I checked the channel of civicdude101 lately. I got a little suspicious and had a look through civicdude101′s page finding that a friend had left a note. He passed away two days ago which was 23rd of March, 2010 at 6:00am. It’s really difficult what to think even though I’ve known a few people who had already passed away. The conflicting part was that we were last talking about suicide prevention. Surely this had to have been a coincidence. I wasn’t the last he talked too though. I had a look at his twitter page to see what his last moments were online. His name was Richard Dellaposta.

Question – Suicide Prevention

Title: Suicide Prevention
To: Premier of Victoria
From: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
I was browsing through various sites to see what others have been talking about on Suicide Prevention in Your Life. It sparked an interest when I read there was an increasing trend of people in Japan who were committing suicide at train stations each year. There’s no doubt that whatever happens in one country may lead to another country. Is the Australian government really serious about suicide prevention or is the help limited to counseling and phone lines. Will there be any benefit to us if we try saving at least one life?

Clarinet On A Frigid Day

Title: Clarinet On A Frigid Day
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
The weather is pretty cold right now in Melbourne. I have not been able to stop sneezing. Now I have a running nose. My fingers were pretty numb so I did not want to spend too much time playing the clarinet today. The hail storm that happened a few days ago was labeled as the the greatest natural disaster of the century in our state. Going a little off topic now Australia may be going through a new revolution with hospitals and medical care. Seems to be a fair bit of hot topics about health these days in parliament.

Clarinet With A Sore Thumb

Title: Clarinet With A Sore Thumb
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
My thumb is still sore, but it is healing. I still wish to continue my 17 Classical Solo tour with the clarinet later. For now I just wanted to mess around a little to how I feel with my thumb. I still managed to play the clarinet with a sore thumb by using the tip only. I was thinking of taking a photo, but it’s really not that interesting. There’s actually accessories that can help ease the pain like clarinet slings to support the weight. It can help your arm and thumb. I don’t really believe in those things because it reminds me of the saxophone. I’m better than that!

Melbourne Weather – Hail Stones
Saturday, March 6th, 2010
Title: Melbourne Weather – Hail Stones
Date: Saturday, March 6th 2010
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Footage: Edited by Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)
My thumb really hurts today so I wasn’t able to upload a music video for the clarinet. Instead I have hail stones to show. They create a fair bit of noise so even if I wanted to record anything all I’ll get is weird sounds in the background. Foxy the dog doesn’t seem to stop barking either. Hail stones are rarely seen in Melbourne where I live. You could say it just came by surprise because there’s still clothes hanging at the car port.
