Title of Video: Foxy the Dog
Type of Pet: Dog
Name of Dog: Foxy
Breed of Dog: Pomeranian
Pet Owner: Baniqued Family
Video Editor: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)

I don’t really spend too much time with the family pet. So this is the least I can do for him. His name is Foxy and a Pomeranian breed of dog. He’s been in care of the Baniqued family for a few years now. Foxy is also the third dog to come live in our home. The only other pets left in the house is some fish. We’ve also had some stray cats living with us, but they ran away. We used to have birds also that my sister owned. I think regardless of what type of pet you have they’ll eventually make some noise. Well, fish aren’t that noisy… Family Pet in Your Life

Clarinet Goodbye To Richard Dellaposta

I recently made friends with a trumpet player on YouTube. I got a private message from ClueLou asking how I was and if I checked the channel of civicdude101 lately. I got a little suspicious and had a look through civicdude101′s page finding that a friend had left a note. He passed away two days ago which was 23rd of March, 2010 at 6:00am. It’s really difficult what to think even though I’ve known a few people who had already passed away. The conflicting part was that we were last talking about suicide prevention. Surely this had to have been a coincidence. I wasn’t the last he talked too though. I had a look at his twitter page to see what his last moments were online. His name was Richard Dellaposta.

Question – Suicide Prevention

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Title: Suicide Prevention
To: Premier of Victoria
From: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)

I was browsing through various sites to see what others have been talking about on Suicide Prevention in Your Life. It sparked an interest when I read there was an increasing trend of people in Japan who were committing suicide at train stations each year. There’s no doubt that whatever happens in one country may lead to another country. Is the Australian government really serious about suicide prevention or is the help limited to counseling and phone lines. Will there be any benefit to us if we try saving at least one life?

Clarinet On A Frigid Day

Title: Clarinet On A Frigid Day
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)

The weather is pretty cold right now in Melbourne. I have not been able to stop sneezing. Now I have a running nose. My fingers were pretty numb so I did not want to spend too much time playing the clarinet today. The hail storm that happened a few days ago was labeled as the the greatest natural disaster of the century in our state. Going a little off topic now Australia may be going through a new revolution with hospitals and medical care. Seems to be a fair bit of hot topics about health these days in parliament.

Clarinet With A Sore Thumb

Title: Clarinet With A Sore Thumb
Music and Clarinet: Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)

My thumb is still sore, but it is healing. I still wish to continue my 17 Classical Solo tour with the clarinet later. For now I just wanted to mess around a little to how I feel with my thumb. I still managed to play the clarinet with a sore thumb by using the tip only. I was thinking of taking a photo, but it’s really not that interesting. There’s actually accessories that can help ease the pain like clarinet slings to support the weight. It can help your arm and thumb. I don’t really believe in those things because it reminds me of the saxophone. I’m better than that!

Melbourne Weather – Hail Stones

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Title: Melbourne Weather – Hail Stones
Date: Saturday, March 6th 2010
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Footage: Edited by Sherwin Baniqued (SherwinJTB)

My thumb really hurts today so I wasn’t able to upload a music video for the clarinet. Instead I have hail stones to show. They create a fair bit of noise so even if I wanted to record anything all I’ll get is weird sounds in the background. Foxy the dog doesn’t seem to stop barking either. Hail stones are rarely seen in Melbourne where I live. You could say it just came by surprise because there’s still clothes hanging at the car port.

The Clarinet

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

I’ve been playing the clarinet since 1996 and think of it as another tool to keep the mind healthy. It helps with breathing and coordination. Reading sheet music is also in a totally different language. Probably something only other musicians could understand. I’m also writing this to comfort myself. There are times when I feel emotionally unstable. Music can be expressed in many ways in how the notes are interpreted. I never dreamed of becoming a clarinettist, but since I’ve already started exposing myself I am willing to take it further.

I do other things than practice on my clarinet. Most of which is based online and the occasional shows I watch on television. Rarely do I visit family relatives and friends. Going outside doesn’t seem to be that important anymore. My mother is always telling me to at least get some sunlight. Not taking care of myself could get me sick quite easily. I still remember in high school my physics teacher would pray at the end of class for good health. I went to a Catholic Christian college so that was a blessing.

I haven’t gone to church for a while. I used to enjoy a nice time in the church, but I’ve grown tired. I’m not sure if it’s laziness or a weakness. I have a bad history of sleeping abnormal hours. You could say that there’s not much control with my everyday schedule. So what has this got to do with the clarinet? I’ve been practicing these past few days and uploading them on SherwinJTB on YouTube. I’ve been reading good comments so far so I must be doing something decent.

I’m also interested in talking about women. I know there’s a lot of sexy women in this world. When I’m ready I may look for a girlfriend. Perhaps I’m lucky I haven’t taken anything seriously yet because of the experience of being single all my life isn’t really that bad. I find musicians quite attractive since I am one. Must be because we have something in common. Anyway, good luck to me!
